[edit]I did not write this page but added the section, "Types of Toolboxes," as well as a few links below that readers could use for online research. I also removed a dead link to an external image. I can't figure out what Wikipedia's the copyright policy is supposed to be (is fair use allowed or not?), so I deleted it rather than possibly breaking Wikipedia's copyright guidlines. It didn't work anyway.
This article is also flagged for cleanup and lack of references (flagged before I touched it!). Could more experienced users suggest what it needed? Toolboxes are commercial products and not much is written about them. Linking to a retailer's specific product page is dangerous because the link could break when the inventory changes. It is therefore hard to cite references on this subject; yet the veracity of the article is easily verifiable simply by going to a hardware store or looking at what is available online, and I provided some links.

image
[edit]I just added a photo of a "toolbox", in the text in the article this kind of toolbox i referred to as a "toolset". If someone objects - just change, I call it "verktygslåda" in swedish så I dunno :-D
Also, there were at least two more pics in commons of toolboxes (as opposed to my image of a toolset). Perhaps there should be a gallry with the toolbox first and then the toolset?

- Said and done, if someone objects, just alter this. Perhaps everyone knows what a toolbox is and an image is just redundant. But I like imaegs, so I kinda like adding them aswell :) PER9000 10:57, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Colour
[edit]Funny, the article says that modern toolboxes are usually red...and both illustrations show blue ones! Here in Canada, my experience (looking through the selections at Rona, Cdn Tire, WalMart, Home Depot, etc) indicates that the most common colours seem to be red for metal ones and black (or black with red or yellow handles/fasteners) for plastic ones. It also seems to depend on brand name, too: at Crappy Tire, f'rinstance, house brand Jobmate toolboxes are (for the most part) black with red trimmings etc, while MasterCraft's are all blue with yellow fixtures. It should also be noted that there now seems to be an increase in the number of tool bags -- heavy nylon or canvas bags, sometimes accoutred like tool boxes (with inner trays etc). --SigPig 04:28, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Jesse Levine
[edit]"A toolbox, also known as jesse levine, ..." What is this about? I suggest removing this reference to a tennis player. The name was added by a Wiki user called El Commandante on 3-22-2007. I don't know how to report this prank, so I will leave that up to someone who does.

Types of Toolboxes
[edit]I work for one of the largest tool storage manufactures and edited this section based on my knowledge of the industry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.37.171.84 (talk) 15:26, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
