I have spoken in detail to Tony Atlas about the Brody murder.

Tony was not a direct witness in the sense he seen the knife enter Brody's body. But he was there when Brody was stabbed. His back was turned he herd the noise and turned to see what he thought was a punch.

He herd the yelling

(he saw what he thought was a punch to the abs followed by loud gasp and then another gasp punch) eveyone in the dressing room thought he was puched twice (just another fight). He then seen the after math. Dispite the rummors Tony did not refuse to testify. Tony stood over brody's body to

protect him from further retaliation. Brody spoke his last words

to Tony. And Tony went with him to the hospital in the back of the ambulance. From what he has told me no medical personal ever tried helping Brody. He was left to die. The investigation was a farce. The local law inforcement did not care.Tony wants to make it clear that if asked to testify he would have. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.131.32.96 (talk) 19:13, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tag Team with Rocky Johnson

[edit]

Since Rocky Johnson is Canadian, I don't think Atlas and and Johnson should be referred to as the first African-American World Tag Team Champions. Black would be more suitable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.51.85.221 (talk) 20:15, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MTV

[edit]

Didn't he appear on an episode of MTV's True Life? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.35.243.184 (talk) 04:08, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why is his age wrong?

[edit]

He was born in 1954 NOT 1944.

It keeps getting changed to the wrong age. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Icus (talkcontribs) 14:20, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

yeah thats vandalism I've changed it back to 54! Adster95 (talk) 16:17, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

His site(the source)says 1954. Special:Contributions/24.39.54.150 says 44 from "Tony Atlas" himself claims but gives no verifiable source. BionicWilliam (talk) 22:28, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He was born in 1944. He takes 10 years off his age sometimes for credibility like alot of older celebrities and athletes do, but Wikipedia is for ACCURATE information, fellas. Watch this video from a show I promoted two years ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-DZeh3TyYo Sorry, BionicWilliam, you are WRONG —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.207.244.232 (talk) 17:12, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tony Atlas attended Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke, VA, with me - he was a senior when I was a sophomore, in the 1972-73 school year. If I could track down my copy of the school's literary magazine, I could show you some artwork that he did. There's no way he was born in 1944. Kevinwparker (talk) 03:35, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Let me add that there are several mentions of his being "Teenage Mr. Virginia" in 1974 ( http://www.tonyatlas.com/tony-atlas-wwe-bio/tony-atlas-wwe-biography.html , http://www.wrestlingclassics.com/wawli/REDUXNos.11-20.html ). That would be a little tough if he were 30. Kevinwparker (talk) 03:45, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I know Tony very well. Tony himself has claimed a 1944 birth, proven by hte video on youtube. People in their 50's don't add 10 years NukeIt2Bdone (talk) 23:10, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe they do if they want to claim that their exercise program and personal behavior make them seem more youthful than they are. Wouldn't someone in his situation like to hear people saying "You look great for 64!"? Kevinwparker (talk) 04:46, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just had to change it back to 1954 again. Some references in addition to the one I used: http://speakerpedia.com/speakers/tony-atlas, http://ww2.roanoke.com//roatimes/atlas/atlas_wins.html, http://wwecharacters.blogspot.com/2009/06/ecw-star-tony-atlas-returns-home.html . I remember seeing Tony as the ICW champion battling with Vic Steamboat with Tony Rumble in his corner. Why don't I see this acknowledged anywhere. I don't see anything about him working as a heel with the exception of his brief stint in WCW. —Preceding unsigned comment added by AnswerMan93 (talkcontribs) 03:02, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
