Rationale for redirect

[edit]

The creator of this page: first User:Mercurial101 and then User:TsunamiiofPower, have been busy linkspamming for a certain maker of drums. This article has not yet cited WP:Reliable sources supporting the contention that the name "tongue drum" describes anything separate from slit drum. In fact, the article's creator has said the same in their own article content: "Tongue drums are known by many different names including Xylodrums, Log Drums, and Slit Drums."

On every single occasion, they've used either that manufacturer's main page or a spammy "history" page at the same manufacuturer's site. See also the discussion at Wikipedia:Reference desk/Archives/Miscellaneous/2010 September 9#Tongue drum. So I've redirected this, again, to slit drum, following the editor(s) attempts at re-creating this at Tongue Drum, Tongue Drums and Tongue drums, the last of which was moved here in good faith by another editor. User:Mercurial101 has made a request at the Editor Assistance noticeboard for help on the article. After looking into it (briefly) I currently support that it should be a redirect, but I asked Mercurial101 to come here and state his case if he wishes.
