Naming this article was a bit difficult. Tom Moore is a very common name, but I have no more specific information available. Describing him as an athlete is not appropriate. While he was a temporary world record holder, the bulk of his identity is as a track and field meet director and official. He is in the Hall of Fame as an event director, which, of course, does not attribute the sport. Adding "and field" just serves to make it more wordy, so I concluded this was the most apt phraseology.
