Someone is vandalizing the article.

The section "and came across a band of locals calling themselves Red Rider. After an audition, they agreed to Cochrane joining the band as lead singer and songwriter, a decision that would change their musical careers." needs more explanation - why did it change their musical careers? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.246.171.241 (talk) 12:17, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Awards

[edit]

Wouldn't "album cover of the year" go to the artist responsible for the cover, not to Tom?Mzmadmike 23:06, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The following comment was posted without any reference or source of proof - "He has come under fire from many music fans for lobbying lawmakers to make it easier for record companies to sue people who share music on the internet. Many Canadian artists have also criticised him." Unless someone can provide more information about these "many music fans" and "many Canadian artists" then I think it should be removed. Intro

[edit]

For someone with 18 albums and a dozen awards, it is a bit minimalist to suggest he is "known almost exclusively" for one song! this needs to be updated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Doc.Ian (talkcontribs) 04:32, 31 August 2015 (UTC) Yes someone is on a tear here. Who dislikes Tom Cochrane so much that they would describe him as being known for one song? That comment is idiotic. I revised it and someone put it back. What goes on? 96.49.213.242 (talk) 20:00, 2 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with the statement that Life is a Highway is "perhaps his best known song." Maybe best known among people under 30. His long term fans who are closer to his own age would cite Human Race, Boy Inside the Man, Big League, or the Untouchable One, as his most famous songs. They all came before Life is a Highway.
