Infoboxes
[edit]Would there be a way to incorporate both the mayoral and U.S. Congressman infoboxes on his page? He's a former U.S. Representative, but the current mayor of Milwaukee. One (talk) 13:29, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Propaganda
[edit]This article is a ridiculous piece of propaganda. It should be completely re-written. -MFD, 3 November 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.213.39.45 (talk) 17:12, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
Congressional history
[edit]Barrett was a congressman in the 90s and early 2000s, so where is the history of his co-sponsoring of bills and his voting record? For a reference point, take a look at Mark Neumann's page. It has: 1. Personal life. 2. Early career. 3. U.S. Congressman. 4. U.S. Senate Race. 5. Wisconsin Governor Race. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Political-one (talk • contribs) 23:18, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
- So fix it. Leave a message on my talk page if you'd like some help. Cheers, --BaronLarf 22:32, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
NPOV?
[edit]A lot of this article reads very pro-Barrett, especially the section on the 2012 recall election where I've inserted an NPOV tag. For instance: "Barrett was re-elected mayor by a resounding 70 percent" (emphasis added). There are other examples of this sort of thing throughout the article. Perhaps someone with a better understanding of Wisconsin politics could take a kick at cleaning it up? - Nbpolitico (talk) 11:51, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
- The "resounding" isn't necessary, and has been removed. Could you cite some of the "other examples" that you mentioned? Xenophrenic (talk) 18:32, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
38th mayor?
[edit]where does it say he is the 38th mayor On the page List of mayors of Milwaukee there are more than 38 also this source shows more http://www.nndb.com/gov/893/000056725/ Maybe I just don't understand their numbering. --Jamo58 (talk) 06:56, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
- Good catch, without looking into it maybe some of them are acting Mayors or something. Anyway I've updated the article until someone can look into it. --Grammarxxx (talk) 00:29, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
Fresh Coast
[edit]I don't see the point of the link at all. If he coined it, the article itself never mentions or defines it, there is no Wikipedia page on it, and the one on "Great Lakes" doesn't mention it either. Would removing it be okay? Chuborno (talk) 02:29, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
