Allusions in D&D

[edit]

In Dungeons & Dragons, the Slaad are a race of toad-like creatures which (in early editions) had gems embedded within the skull. I guess it might be OR to consider this related to the Toadstone, but thought it worth at least mentioning. --Starwed (talk) 09:27, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

in the United Kingdom

[edit]

an igneous rock which frustrated the Derbyshire lead miners Toadstone "Toad'stone` noun 1. (Min.) Proper Name

[edit]

Since Bufonite is the proper name, shouldn't the page be moved to Bufonite? I would move the page myself, but I need consensus.

How did bufonite ever exist?

[edit]

Wouldn't people quickly discover there is, in fact, no stone located within a toads head? Especially if they kept trying this multiple times. Is this article real or a joke? 75.82.55.192 (talk) 09:33, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Old redirects

[edit]

There are a lot of now incoherent to the inexperienced reader redirects to this page, that are all the "Various other names" that got removed in revision 770769766 (except Paddesteen who never had a redirect for some reason). Should we add back the section with a more encyclopedic style, blend it in other categories, or delete the obsolete redirects ? Altitud49 (talk) 13:13, 20 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
