Roman Catholic theologian

I believe it is incorrect to describe Ms Beattie as a Roman Catholic theologian. She is a theologian who happens to be Roman Catholic. The difference might appear subtle but it is important. She holds several dissenting opinions which contradict the magisterium of the Church. A "Roman Catholic Theologian" bases their work on the teachings of the Church. I couldn't find any reference to a movie being made from The Last Supper According to Martha and Mary
This statement really needs a source; I removed it.

She has been prevented from speaking on church premises by bishops acting under instruction from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

As noted by User:Richardson mcphillips, the 'Vision and inspiration' section is completely unreferenced, and it doesn't add any useful information to the article; I have removed it. Leschnei (talk) 12:12, 3 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This article would give a more comprehensive account of Beattie's work if it mentioned how she sometimes presents Thought for the Day on the BBC Radio Four Today programme. Of Scottish descent

This article points out that Tina Beattie was born in Zambia. It could also point out that she was born to Scottish parents - she said she was born to Scottish parents on Thought for the Day on November 13 2019. Transgender debate

I've removed the following statement: Her approach to gender is that most recognized as held among TERFs, which she has defended with public statements that threaten trans women. - referencing https://www.thetablet.co.uk/books/10/19579/no-turning-back-polemicist-abigail-shrier-on-transgenderism. This is an unsubstantiated claim unless there is another reliable publication confirming Beattie has made public statements threatening transwomen.
