@Cocô53: Hello. I did a bit of cleanup on your addition to the article because some there are some errors, and I simply improved the flow of the text. Anyways, the problem is that for the part that says he "reportedly" extends his contract, your first source does not back up your edit. It says that he will extend, not that he already has. The other source is from L'Equipe, and I don't know what it says because you need a subscription to the newspaper to read the article. I would appreciate if you could quote to me the exact part in that article that says he extended his contract. Plus, I don't think that the fact he "reportedly" extended his contract is important. It's only important if he officially extends his contract. Plus, the part where you wrote this extending contract sentence is actually before, chronologically on the article, Pembele made his debut for PSG. And the thing is, the first source is not valid to back up your edit, and the source I cannot access actually was posted AFTER he made his debut. So I don't really see why him extending his contract is specifically in that part of the club career section either... I think that personally we should remove this sentence saying he reportedly extended his contract to 2024 because first of all, it is not official, and second of all, there is no source that is accessible that provides this information. If you would please quote the part of the L'Equipe article that shows he "reportedly extended" his contract that would be nice of you. On second thought, I would personally prefer if you could send a screenshot to my Instagram account to show me the part that says he extended his contract. My instagram is in my user page. I rather instagram because I do not wish to give away my email address. I am doing my best to prevent an edit war, by the way. Thank you and have a good day, Paul Vaurie (talk) 01:42, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not getting involved in the content dispute between you two, without you each putting your preferred content/wording and supporting sources forward. GiantSnowman16:51, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@GiantSnowman: I have no source to give, I am just trying to understand the potentially unsourced content that Cocô53 has written in the article. My proposal is to remove the phrase in the club career section of the article that says "In the autumn 2020 , Pembélé's contract was reportedly extended to 2024, as team such as Chelsea, RB Leipzig and Dortmund had been supposedly trying sign him in the upcoming summer transfer window." The first source used to back up this information that Cocô53 put (which I have since removed from the article) is this one: https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Timothee-pembele-va-prolonger-au-psg/1180243. It says that the player in question will extend his contract, not that he reportedly has. The second source, which is this one: https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Article/La-drole-de-premiere-de-timothee-pembele-avec-le-psg-contre-bordeaux/1200201, is inaccessible because you need a subscription to L'Équipe to actually read the article, which is why I want to know if this source is valid to support the information. I am therefore asking Cocô53 to show to me where in the website this information that he "reportedly extended his contract" is. I hope this is a better clarification.
