Weekend shares/Vacation shares

In July 1943 Richard B. Abbott, then 7 years old, came up with the idea of sharing a camp on a pond in Maine by purchasing a camp with others. His uncle, Lawrence Abbott, acted on the idea in 1951 by gathering several friends to build a camp to share. Over the years Richard Abbott told others in the US and Europe about the idea, most notably to several businessmen on a bus traveling from Boston to New York City. At least one of those businessmen pursued the idea which was reported in an article in the Wall Street Journal (July, August, September 1964).2604:6000:87C8:5D00:AC83:C38C:57AF:7D52 (talk) 22:46, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

Airbnb may kill the timeshare industry

I think it would be good for the article to contain info on how Airbnb (and similar companies) are killing the timeshare industry. Here are some references: https://www.fool.com/investing/general/2014/03/14/how-airbnb-vrbo-and-homeaway-could-kill-timeshares.aspx https://www.benzinga.com/news/17/06/9554381/will-short-term-rentals-kill-the-timeshare-industry --Westwind273 (talk) 18:00, 13 August 2018 (UTC)
