Tesla

[edit]

I removed Tesla to talk because it reads like a bit of a Tesla-fan POV-push. Tesla did no invent alternating-current (inventors are skipped in timeline). Tesla is not the primary inventor of the brushless alternating-current induction motor (inventors are skipped in timeline). Tesla did not invent AC polyphase systems (inventors are skipped in timeline). Tesla did not invent fluorescent lights (inventors are skipped in timeline). There were allot of theoreticians ahead of Tesla on what is mentioned. Claims for Tesla need to pass WP:UNDUE and be sorted out as to whether they are the first theories or just later practical applications. Also it has only on reference, a primary source. Einstein

[edit]

Quote from the article "1905: Albert Einstein demonstrates that Maxwell's equations are not required to describe electromagnetic radiation if Special Relativity is taken into account."

What was the intended meaning of this sentence near the end? SR is (of course) compatible with Maxwell's equations but does not make them less required. Bj norge (talk) 16:07, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I changed this sentence to what I belive was the intended meaning. Bj norge (talk) 09:17, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
