Bring Current

[edit]

I don't know enough about Fiji to do it, nor do I have the necessary time to do it, but (if someone wants a project) someone should update the end of this article. Much has happened to complete the story. See: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] Kingturtle 03:17 Apr 4, 2003 (UTC)

Fiji and the Commonwealth

[edit]

I've added that Fiji was re-admitted to the Commonwealth of Nations in 1997. I know Fiji's membership was suspended after the 2000 coup, and I think Fiji was re-instated in 2001, but I don't know the specific dates. Aridd 12:41, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All right, it seems Fiji was re-admitted in December 2001 (source: official Commonwealth website). Aridd 13:33, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Prose

[edit]

This article should conform to other history articles and be written in prose rather than just time tables. Ƶ§œš¹ [aɪm ˈfɻɛ̃ⁿdˡi] 03:09, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The origin of the first settlers (Egyptians or Chinese?)

[edit]

Someone has written: "the first settlers of Fiji, with their origins in South egypt." That's either nonsense or the most important archaeological discovery of the last 100 years. In the first case it should be corrected (maybe: China?), in the second case a reference is urgently needed. --2.201.208.32 (talk) 21:04, 23 August 2012 (UTC) The same person has changed the name of the archaeologist from Patrick D. Nunn to an unknown name. That must be a joke. --2.201.208.32 (talk) 21:18, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cannibalism

[edit]

So the summary of Fijian history (http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Fiji#History) mentions cannibalism, while the page dedicated to Fijian history has no mention of it. Is this an oversight, censorship, or something else? 66.66.149.221 (talk) 21:45, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
