Removed line regarding Time as "worst writer to have series produced etc..." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.66.175.82 (talk) 00:58, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It had just been changed from "youngest" to "worst" by a vandal, although I think as "youngest" is unsourced and possibly unverifiable, it shouldn't be in the article unless reliable sources can be found. —Snigbrook 02:18, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of details that made headline news.

I don't understand why someone deleted additions I made and which have appeared in national newspapers which I referenced. Happy to discuss if needed. Garnett F (talk) 20:25, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've just reinstated stuff that got anonymously deleted. I'm happy to discuss if anyone wants. Garnett F (talk) 07:52, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I delete things that are Twitter refs as these are not acceptable as fact. Are you a teacher? Just wondering because of the apparent Gill Keegan focus. 2A02:C7E:270C:D600:D528:958E:6E44:C92 (talk) 10:15, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I'm not sure if you made a mistake, perhaps? None of the stuff you deleted was Twitter referenced. Not a teacher, no. Not overly focused on anything. Just intrigued by what seems to be efforts to whitewash certain pages, and so I've set up a watch list so I'm notified each time the whitewashing happens, so I can fix it. Garnett F (talk) 11:03, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Ah yes I can see where I've been overly zealous. Apologies. I've been insanely obsessional about Twitter referencing since students started citing Wiki in the same manner they would an academic paper from a respectable source. I guess I'm just as neurotic about that as you are about Tim Dawson and Gillian Keegan LOL :)! 2A02:C7E:270C:D600:D528:958E:6E44:C92 (talk) 13:31, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This page was being whitewashed and a more senior editor kindly froze the page to tackle it. As soon as the freeze expired it seems the whitewasher was back. I've undone their edit, and remain happy to discuss if required. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Garnett F (talkcontribs) 15:07, 1 Feb 2023 (UTC)

Proposed deletion

[edit]

I have requested this article to be deleted for numerous reasons. I am happy to have a discussion with anyone to elaborate on Mr Dawson's Right to Erasure and the impact of this page. If you oppose to this deletion please message first before removing the tag to allow us the opportunity to explain further. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joymartin23 (talkcontribs) 12:24, 16 Aug 2023 (UTC)

@Joymartin23: There is no requirement under Wikipedia policy to explain removal of a {{prod}} tag before it is removed; however, the editor who removed it did provide information in their edit summary on how to proceed (and on why such a request is likely to be denied). —C.Fred (talk) 12:55, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That said, a cursory review indicated one item in the article that ran against Wikipedia's guidelines for biographies of living persons. I have removed that unsourced item from the article. —C.Fred (talk) 13:00, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
