Documentation of the death of Tim Crow
[edit]I would like some advice on how to update the page for Tim Crow, who died on 10.11.24. I was informed of his death by his wife on 11.11.24. I updated his page but it was immedialty reverted on the grounds that such a substantive change required documentation. I understand this, although I note that the dates of birth and death of entries are rarely documented. The online register of Births Deaths and Marraiges in the UK is only updated after 6 months. Notification of the death in a newspaper is not going to happen and obituaries may take months before they appear and often rely on Wikipedia for basic information. It seems disrespectful to the person to leave the page unchanged and unfortunate for Wikipedia to contain inaccurate information. Please can someone advise me?
