Development of Ticket In/Ticket Out

Regarding both CDS and IGT being involved in the development of Ticket In/Ticket Out, the only source I could find regarding that was at the Coast Casinos Club Coast website. While I could theoretically use that as a citation, I would rather have something a bit more solid to use.N Yo FACE 00:13, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article name

Ticket In/Ticket Out seems to be the least common name. Ticket In Ticket Out, Ticket-In Ticket-Out and Ticket-In, Ticket-Out seem to be more common. Any preference as to which one to use? Vegaswikian (talk) 06:34, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cash-out ticket

The term "ticket," as used throughout this article, is far too generic. The actual term used is "cash-out ticket." It would be nice if the term "cash-out ticket" had a link to this article instead of getting a long list of "ticket" terms. --69.85.145.76 (talk) 22:12, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Expanding gambling articles

In regard to expanding these articles: As the author of several "how-to" gambling books and a novel involving gambling, I forewarn you that insider gambling information is very difficult to find or verify. Probably because much of it is not documented or is proprietary. Other than the above comment on cash-out tickets, I have little verifiable information to contribute. Possible citation for handpays being required for cashouts in excess of $1200

I don't know if this is appropriate for the article, but it's written into the actual gaming regulations for Louisiana that $1200 is one of the thresholds required for a handpay. The relevant regulation is Title 42 §2723, and the Title 42 regulations can be found in PDF form on the Louisiana State Police website under the Louisiana Administrative Code heading, or the Louisiana Gaming Control Board website under the Gaming Regulations heading.

On the version as of June 2024, it starts on page 132, but the relevant sections are on page 133. The specific section is the right column, §2723.E, near the bottom:

If a jackpot is $1,200 or greater in value, the following shall be obtained by the slot attendant prior to payout and for preparation of a Form W-2G [...]

Of note: most major casinos in the Louisiana jurisdiction use jackpot payouts compliant with §2723.B, so the requirement for paperwork or a jackpot receipt (which is also printed via the ticket printer) is not in play.

Hopefully this might help improve the article.
