Name of the article
[edit]It seems to me this article is only talking about Muslims in Tibet Autonomous Region instead of Muslims in Tibet, and it's also focused on ethnic Tibetans who are Muslims. I also noticed the article Islam in Tibet is directed to this article, i just want to point out that by the definition of Tibet in Wikipedia, this article is lack of information about Islam in cultural Tibetan areas outside of Tibet Autonomous Region. For example, the Wikipedia article Tibet includes all of the Chinese province of Qinghai, part of Gansu, Sichuan and Yunnan. 10 ethnic groups out of the 56 groups recognized by govt. of PRC are Muslim groups. 4 of them, the Hui, Salar, Dongxiang and Bonan traditionally live in the Tibetan cultural influenced area (which is used to define the article Tibet) of the four provinces I just mentioned above, and have been living there for hundreds or thousands of years. Other Muslim groups are also found in this area, including the Kazakh and a few others. One of autonomous prefecture in Qinghai used to be called Kazakh autonomous prefecture before it was changed to Tibetan autonomous prefecture, Hui Muslims are very influential in Qinghai that it was ruled by Hui warlord from 1911 to 1949. None of the information about Hui, Salar, Dongxiang, Bonan and other Muslims groups is mentioned in this article. So I would suggest someone add information about these groups in this article or separate the article Tibetan Muslims and Islam in Tibet. citizenship?
[edit]If one takes a map and reads the passage on citizenship at the same time, the passage is basically from a book, and Nehru's conflict with Zhou Enlai at the time was actually a prelude to the full-scale Sino-Indian war that followed in 1962. This needs to be read even further in the context of Sino-Soviet-Chinese-Indian-American-Soviet, where the choice of recognising or denying the ethnic component before the belligerent atmosphere discounts authenticity itself, and it is difficult to judge whether or not it was true that it led to the existence of an immigrant.
Secondly there is confrontational content within the passage itself. The paragraph about the transfer of this section of migrants to West Bengal is logical, but the other section dealing with their migration to Jammu and Kashmir (from Lhasa) is impossible. JK is bordering Xinjiang, China, and if even Muslims were to migrate, it would be from Xinjiang and not from Lhasa, Tibet. That soundbite was a critique of Article 35A against JK legislation, it was against migration from Pakistan to India, and it didn't even mention Lhasa. Therefore, I keep the West Bengal part, but still few confused when reading this sentence. TinaLees-Jones (talk) 07:11, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
Another way to understand the Khache thoroughly is to analyze the Khache population in its entirety, that is, the Barkor Khache population in the southwestern part of Lhasa, and the Hebalin Khache population in the southeastern part of Lhasa. Hebalin Khache, which is mainly concentrated in Hebalin Mosque and Lhasa city center. However, since Lhasa is now very modernized, under the influence of commercial trade, so much so that many Muslims have also passed through from Qinghai and Sichuan. This trend will become more pronounced in the future, so it will be more difficult to identify these social differences through purely biological means. One possible option is that I would add information about the Wapaling Khaches/Hebalin Mosque, as this part of the community still maintains certain ethnic attributes and rituals. --TinaLees-Jones (talk) 07:18, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
