Reliablity

[edit]

On some exynos devices like the GT-I9100, GT-I9300 etc, if I compile on my laptop and try to use heimdall at the same time to flash system partitions, this often fails. However if I flash smaller files it works, and if I don't compile I've less failures. I don't have the same behavior on the Galaxy Nexus (OMAP4). But beside my own experience I've not found other sources on that issue. Maybe the reliability of various implementation could be mentioned somehow, tempering that with the fact that in practice it's not an issue as recoveries are small?

Implementations

[edit]

Another idea to improve the article could be to look at which devices / bootloaders implement Thor. Also it has been used in Tizen according to the u-boot Kconfig mentioned in the article but I'm not familiar with Tizen, so maybe there are interesting things in the Tizen project too.
