Bio - Copyvio

[edit]

I removed a large section of the bio that had been added. It was identical to the following:

As well as a couple other sites. It appears to be a press release from the record company. If you would like to revert my edit, please note below why this isn't a straight cut&paste job. BeastmasterGeneral 22:49, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey guys! I'm also a former member of the band in 1979 and 1980. My name isn't mentioned but it would be nice. Mark Waters on bass guitar. I did the Toronto to Vancouver tour as well as a few gigs in Washington. Please add me! Thanks Marksmobile (talk) 00:19, 23 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edits by Vangold

[edit]

Appear to be very POV. The last edit removed all references during a time when the article is up for AFD (and some have cited that the article lacks refs when they saw Vangold's version). I tried to incorporate some of his/her information back into the article after Vangold's initial edit but much of it was unsourced and extremely POV. Vangold - are you affiliated with Thor in any way? BeastmasterGeneral 12:26, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

'Years Active' not correct

[edit]

'Years Active' lists 1978 and then 1984- (indicating that the band was not active 1979-1983).

This is incorrect because I saw Thor on the Uncle Floyd Show in either 1980 or 1981.

Perhaps somebody with greater knowledge of the band's history could do some library/internet research and make an appropriate correction.

Removal of EPs

[edit]

An anonymous IP keeps removing the EP section. Before deleting this again please provide a reason below (or at least in the edit summary). BeastmasterGeneral 11:19, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

'Years Active' not correct and Members

[edit]

I knew this band well and had a friend who played guitar with them as far back as Keep The Dogs At bay 1977, the guitar player was David Bendeth who went on to be big wig at BMG music.

If you watch the dogs at bay video you can plainly see him as the lead guitar player.

Steve Price

[edit]

I was disambiguating this page's link to Steven Price and left a redlink in its place to Steve Price (guitarist).

A preliminary googling suggested to me that Mr. Price may not be notable, but I leave it someone more knowledgeable than me to delete the redlink or create the article. Firefangledfeathers (talk) 21:51, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bugs Bunny Dressed as a Girl

[edit]

I thought this looked weird as an album title and checked. It's nowhere online except a couple of articles that are clearly referencing this page. Went through history and looks like it was added in December 2015 by an anonymous user (70.54.118.156) and then just kept in ever since. Also unlikely that they would've released two albums back-to-back in 2013, prolific as they are. Removing it - kind of impressed it stayed up this long. https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/thor/259 2600:4040:9C4A:A400:CD53:4899:444B:ACBA (talk) 16:26, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
