Noble (sic) prize in Chemistry nomination
[edit]There was a discussion in "Awards" that the person was nominated for "Noble" (sic) prize in chemistry. Problems with this:
- being nominated is not an award nor achievement, since everyone can be nominated
- Nobel prize committee specifically does not disclose the name of nominees. From their website: "The names of the nominees cannot be revealed until 50 years later." https://www.nobelprize.org/nomination/

- This is not true. Being nominated for any award is an achievement. A committee of select scientists from around the world are asked to nominate candidates for the Nobel Prize and Tom Webster was contacted by such a committee member and was nominated. Therefor, since not everyone can be nominated and a formal process exists, being nominated for the Nobel Prize is unique and an award. 23.249.42.20 (talk) 12:48, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
