General complaints
[edit]So, where was he actually born? The article first claims in Cairo, but then under Trivia says that this isn't so. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.79.44.136 (talk) 14:24, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
This is a very poor article. It says nothing aout his song 'Windpower' which was a breakthrough UK hit in May 1982. What about all of his work as a producer including Prefab Sprout and mention of his other solo outings? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.31.78.228 (talk) 00:06, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- The first issue has been taken care of, it seems, but I agree with your second statement. The beginning of the article has a "Teen Magazine" tone that makes it seem more like an editorial than an encyclopedia entry. I really don't need to read dispelled myths about Thomas Dolby at the beginning of what should be a fact-based article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.126.226.142 (talk) 21:51, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, the entire article reads like it was written by a publicity agent. Was it?2601:602:9301:F95A:2081:3E62:D0B5:89C4 (talk) 08:12, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
Flat Earth Society
[edit]So, is there any evidence in source that he promotes the idea of a flat earth, or is it just some kind of publicity gimmick? — SMcCandlish Talk⇒〈°⌊°〉 Contribs. 17:37, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
- I've always assumed that the Flat Earth Society was simply named to correspond with the title of Dolby's 2nd album. synthfiend (talk) 03:44, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
- According to this [1] he's a charter member. Kortoso (talk) 18:23, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
