Education

[edit]

Here it says he went to Clongowes but Belvedere also claim him. Which is right? Albatross2147 (talk) 03:23, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment

[edit]

This article still needs some improvement before it can rate as B-class. Some key points:

  • There is no need to have refs in the lead, which should be a summary of major points of article.
  • Some facts in the lead are not mentioned in the body of the article; for example the location of the VC and the commemorative stamp needs to be in the body of the article. (in fact, this info probably doesn't need to be in the lead at all; I suggest adding this info to the end of the later years section in its own paragraph).
  • Some content still lacks cites. At a minimum, a paragraph will always end with a ref, which either supports the entire content of that paragraph, or the material after the previous cite. For example, from my review of cite [4], it only supports the immediately preceding sentence, not the content of the entire paragraph up to that point. I have added cite required tags here and other points where they are needed.
  • Not strictly an issue with regard to B-class, but there are several duplicate wikilinks in the main body of the article e.g. South Africa, Wanderers, RAMC. Wikilinks should only be used twice at most, once in the lead, and again in the main body. In addition to this, it is also OK to have a link in the infobox.

Hope this helps. I'm happy to reassess once the points above have been addressed. Zawed (talk) 07:37, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
