Biographical information can be confirmed in front pages of 'The Secret Key To Heaven' and 'Precious Remedies Against Satan's Devices' both published in modern editions by Banner of Truth Trust of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. There is no copyright listed in my copy of 'Precious Remedies...'. Information is also supported by the biography at the monergism.com link. Thomas Brooks was a signficant Christian minister during the 17th century who preached to the English Parliament on at least two occasions. The name, Thomas Brooks, has appeared on Wikipedia at List of Puritans for at least several months but with no corresponding article. References have been added. Grosart's Memoir of Thomas Brooks from the 1860's in his Works of Thomas Brooks is the earliest know source of the biographical material in the article; much or all of Grosart's material was derived from the writings of Thomas Brooks himself who died in 1680.
