Move the article?

[edit]

Shouldn't this be moved to "Thomson Bonar"? Vzeebjtf (talk) 16:23, 25 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No. Thomson Bonar is a redirect to this article, so both names are available to readers.--Dthomsen8 (talk) 18:20, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I moved it anyways - the two cited sources and current version of EB all spell his name as Thomson. The "Thomas Bonar" spelling needs a citation. ネイ (talk) 04:31, 23 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Cofounders or Three founders?

[edit]

This article explains how Thomas Bonar sold three editions and wrote for the supplements, and also paid article writers, and did other work, but [[Andrew Bell and Colin Macfarquhar cofounded the Encyclopædia Britannica. The lede could be rewritten more clearly.--Dthomsen8 (talk) 18:31, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
