Birth date
[edit]Hi from France !
Thomas Beaumont can't neither be born in 1576 nor having died at the age of 38 (8th line), as his daughter Elizabeth Richardson, 1st Lady Cramond was herself born in 1576 and married on 27 November 1594.
His father Nicholas Beaumont was born about 1520 and his brothers Henry Beaumont (died 1607) about 1545 and Huntingdon Beaumont about 1560, so Thomas should be born about 1550/1555.
Could someone verify in primary sources ? Thanks a lot ! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jagellon (talk • contribs) 17:53, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
- I see that someone has emended the birth date to 1555, but there's still a contradiction in the article—the statement, in the last sentence of the article, that he died at the age of 38 is incompatible with that date (and the ref for that sentence appears to no longer work). This DNB entry is evidence that Vautor wrote an elegy for Sir Thomas Beaumont of Stoughton, but I can't find confirmation for the age at death, so I'm removing it.
