The Infantry Regiment, Thomas' Legion =/= 69th NCT.
[edit]Two separate organizations; Vernon Crow discusses this in the classic "Storm In The Mountains" and the men's Compiled Military Service Records for those not in Walker's Battalion invariably say, "Infantry Regiment, Thomas' Legion." This error dates to Clark's Regimental Histories, published in 1901. This should be corrected in the interest of accurate history. 73.113.32.44 (talk) 01:32, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- A banner from the 1903 reunion of the unit says otherwise: it says "Thomas Legion -(?) 69 N C Reg" behind Cherokee veterans. Clarityfiend (talk) 02:45, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
