Title

There was a lot of discussion on the Meet the Press talk page about the title NOT to include the host's name within the title (in the intro at least) of the show. Although I disagreed with the result of the discussion (leaving David Gregory's name out of the title despite it being that way for Tim Russert), for consistency should this article not follow the same logic? τßōиЄ2001 (ǂ ) 16:22, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Yes, the article "should" follow the same logic. Hence the keyword, "should". However, as you can probably tell from my history record, I believe in the same thing as you. I feel that host’s name should be included. Keep in mind though, only one editor really is keen and adamant about keeping David Gregory’s name off his respective show. And for some strange unknown reason, it’s only Meet the Press he’s doing it on. Nothing else. So if you ask me, I think that particular editor has something against either Gregory, Meet the Press, or NBC. Who knows. S3884h (talk) 20:57, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

What? Are you reading the same discussions I did (from the dates on the signed comments it looks like it)? Nearly everyone in it supported "Meet the Press" with good policy based arguments. I saw only person arguing for including the host name and that wasn't even a great argument (alleging it was the official name for the show which for better or worse doesn't really matter much on wikipedia and in any case wasn't well supported since most official sources didn't include the host's name). (Edit: Saw it in history not in the discussion.) And on wikipedia those who made good policy based arguments count more then those who move war but don't explain why they feel their change is justified (in fact those people's opinions count for very little and they're likely to be blocked if they continue to war without discussing which thankfully didn't happen in this case) so given the discussion as I saw it, it's probably legitimate to say there was (edit:)clear cut consensus that Meet the Press was the appropriate title not that there was only one editor supporting it. Given that David Gregory didn't exist in 1947, it's a bit silly to have an article titled Meet the Press with David Gregory and then goes on to say it's a show which started in 1947. Incidentally, before you go making random accusations of editor motives again, do note I've never heard of David Gregory before now AFAIK, never watched any incarnation of the show AFAIK, and don't really give a damn about either nor NBC (although I believe they're better then the shite that is Fox Propaganda"News" and associated Fox "News" propaganda"programmes") particularly since I don't live in the US. Good question. I remember when Christiane Amanpour was hosting they announced a new affiliation with BBC. I assumed it was to be an ongoing relationship. Hints here: "ABC News and their international partners the BBC." Shouldn't that partnership be mentioned?

In Memoriam

Under "Key features" it's mentioned that In Memoriam has continued since the HD broadcast transition, but I have not seen this closing feature in, say, the last month or two.
