Submission declined on 7 October 2024 by Dan arndt (talk). This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources. This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

- Comment: Fails WP:NSONG, requires significant coverage in multiple independent reliable secondary sources. Apple music, and Tidal are not acceptable independent sources, and the Ring News source is just a mention in passing. Sportskeeda is a questionable source. I was wondering if we can acknowledge that the music video displays in a gigantic 1.43:1 implying that it was shot in IMAX. Even if it's very unlikely, we should at least address it. TheWikiEditor9001 (talk) 16:34, 9 October 2024 (UTC)

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Citing to the YouTube video itself is borderline WP:OR. You need a reliable source that describes the video. PianoDan (talk) 17:40, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry I only just started doing things on Wikipedia, like I've used the site for years, but never contributed anything until I made a page edit account. It's so complicated. TheWikiEditor9001 (talk) 19:53, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
- Welcome aboard! The page about reliable sources that I linked above is a good place to start. To take this specific example, the way you'd want to frame a request like this is to suggest exactly what language you'd want to insert, where you'd want to insert it, and give a link to a source that supports the claim.
- So something like "At the end of the first paragraph in the 'video' section, please insert: "This video was filmed on a mark five potato.' Source: "Video filmed on potato," Potato Camera Digest, July 2024." PianoDan (talk) 20:20, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks, sorry for the late response. I'm only now just having a read through the page. TheWikiEditor9001 (talk) 23:12, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
Genre
[edit]The genre should be edited as pop and trap, rather than pop-rap, because the song has a trap beat and Trippie Redd's subgenre of hip hop is trap. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2401:E180:8C10:DE2:20B:B836:988D:CB94 (talk) 09:43, 12 October 2024 (UTC)
- The source found identifies the song as pop rap. If you can find solid evidence, as in a reliable source that calls the song trap, then we'll add it then. Otherwise it's considered original research which we generally avoid. Thanks, PantheonRadiance (talk) 01:00, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
