Balavatsky

[edit]

The "main article: Theosophy" is no longer valid. I reset the link to "Main article: Helena Blavatsky" I believe this is the correct link. It certainly is the best main article page that I have found. JEMead (talk) 20:08, 28 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This needs further thought and discussion, IMO. I don't understand why an article about a particular subject (Theosophy) would disambiguate to a person (Blavatsky). Nor do I understand why the theory of her brand of Theosophism would be included in the article about her. The particular form of Theosophy or Theosophism that Blavatsky subscribed to was developed by several other people. I would suggest further discussion on this at Talk:Theosophy before making changes. I would recommend that this article focus on the concept development of Theosophy. Possibly staying no later than Early Church (Christian) Founders? Mayber later to include some sufi origins. ? The date gets tricky. The origin of the theosophical concepts is a valid slant on the classic Philosophers of antiquity. In any case - having Blavatsky on this page seems very out-of-place JEMead (talk) 21:35, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
