Grammar Usage

[edit]

The page contained "an historic" which is no longer logical as we pronounce the letter "H" in history and historic thus the use, today, should be "a historic house." This was my own feeling and what I recalled from English classes but those were all years ago. So, to reenforce my thoughts I found this page provided by the same people who author the OED (Oxford English Dictionary) and figure that they're authoritative enough for me to cite and for me to follow.
