Notability
[edit]On notability, this is a difficult one to pin down since the band has remained independent of the music industry for its entire existence. Thelma and the Sleaze has played shows numbering in the thousands in venues across the United States. The band has released music over a nine-year span. They've toured with notable artists like Charles Bradley, Birdcloud and The Eagles of Death Metal. This is not a fly-by-night weekend warrior garage band. - Seems to easily pass WP:GNG. The references contain about a dozen articles completely about the band and there's even a documentary about them. Just because they're indie shouldn't exclude them from being on Wikipedia. Kaldari (talk) 17:35, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
- Agree. And appreciate it. I only sort of did a surface dig and found plenty of stuff. May add more as it goes. I am in no way connected to this band so I think the tag on it is okay to go. The editor who started the page may be an uber fan, but I'm just a regular editor. -- 1940CStreet (talk) 23:55, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
