"Catholic feeding habits" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.97.250.116 (talk) 03:38, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Are you requesting that this piece of information be added to the article? The observation that Theba pisana has catholic feeding habits? If so, then please let us know, and if you can provide a reference to back up this observation we will gladly add it, or you can do so yourself. Thanks, Invertzoo (talk) 20:41, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I see this information is already in the article: "Given the very high densities that Theba pisana can attain at some sites, plus their apparently catholic feeding habits, their potential impact on the vegetation is cause for concern and should be further investigated.[3]" Perhaps what disturbs you is the use of the word "catholic"?. You should understand that "catholic" in this context means wide-ranging and not specific. In other words, this species is not at all fussy about what it eats. Thank you for expanding my vocabulary. I see another user has changed that particular bit of prose already. Between the two, I prefer catholic feeding habits. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.97.250.116 (talk) 16:40, 11 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I changed the sentence, replacing the troublesome phrase with a phrase that (hopefully) means the same thing. Invertzoo (talk) 17:20, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
