Woman interviewed about Wikipedia
[edit]Does any one remember the name of the woman being interviewed about Wikipedia on November 15 2011, and what her position was? I do not remember these details myself, but it would be good if they could be added to the article! ACEOREVIVED (talk) 20:31, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
The interviewee was complaining that Wikipedia did not have much information on hairstyles, and Martha Kearney pointed out that it was more important for Wikipedia to have a lot of information on mathematics!ACEOREVIVED (talk) 22:15, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
Martha Kearney to swap positions with Sarah Montague
[edit]In March 2018, it was announced that Martha Kearney will be leaving The World at One to co-present BBC Radio Four's "Today" programme, and Sarah Montague will be leaving Today to join The World at One. This means that this article will soon need an up-date. Vorbee (talk) 10:14, 27 March 2018 (UTC)

Merge from The World This Weekend
[edit]The World This Weekend is a completely unreferenced article. The idea that the British program of that name is somehow primary topic over its Canadian namesake doesn't check out -- both programs are really just the alternate weekend title of another weekday news program titled The World at [Clock Time], so the idea that the Canadian one deserves only a hatnote to its weekday parent show The World at Six, while the British one actually needs its own standalone article separately from The World at One, simply doesn't wash. Both shows should really be treated the same way: any content about the British TWTW should be merged into The World at One, content about the Canadian TWTW should be retained in The World at Six, and the title The World This Weekend should just be a disambiguation page which lists those two targets rather than preferencing one show over the other. - Page view analysis (comparing The World at One with The World at Six) suggests that The_World_at_One is a reasonable primary topic on this wiki. So, it would be reasonable to merge/redirect The World This Weekend to a section at The World at One, moving also the hatnote. There is no need for a DAB given that there is a PRIMARYTOPIC.
