Good God! This article needs a lot of improvement! First off, there is a LOT of unsourced material here. We shouldn't have anything on here that can only be gleamed from watching the show; we need secondary sources. Secondly, this article needs more info on the impact of the show, its critical reception, etc. Right now, it has next to nothing in that area. Next, the final episode/epilogue section needs some serious trimming. I know spoilers are perfectly acceptable, but really the way it is now, one doesn't even need to see the finale after reading the summary on here: it is WAY too detailed. Then there's the part about the music. With it being such an important part of this show, why is it reduced to only a few sentences? It needs more discussion, imo. (Sorta like Jan Hammer with Miami Vice). Then there's the setting section. This either needs to merged into the Background section or omitted completely as the way it is now, it is awkwardly placed and really doesn't add much to the article on its own. If we do decide to keep it, it needs a huge rewrite because: 1. It is completely unsourced and 2. It is very poorly written. Next there's the issue of the lede. According to Wikipedia, it should have no sourcing at all and serve as just a summary of the article. Right now, it has a lot of sourcing (ironic as its one of the few areas of the article that is such) and needs rewriting. Next, shouldn't there be a section, per MOS, that deals with cast info? All we have is the character info. Speaking of which, the supporting cast/characters part of this article borders on overkill. I would propose we either delete it or create a "List of Wonder Years characters" type article to move it to. Lastly is the pictures. Are there any other pics dealing with the show that are in the public domain? Right now, two seems a little thin. Anyways, this article needs a LOT of work; obviously, its going to take a team effort to thoroughly fix it as right now it is almost a disgrace. Can anyone think of any other improvements to be made? And in answer to the inevitable question: I have been bold and have changed some of this article, notably trimming the epilogue section (though I still think it needs more trimming, but I don't know how to edit it exactly) and creating a background section (which could use some expanding). Basically, I'm going to be busy in the next few months and won't be able to sit down and perform the entire task which could (presumably) take hours or even days. Even if I had the time, I'm new to Wikipedia, and even though I know the issues this article has, frankly, I'm at a loss as to how to proceed. Twyfan714 (talk) 00:52, 28 April 2014 (UTC)

I don't understand this sentence: "This show is one of the last of the family oriented comedy shows produced while at the same time the family was somewhat dysfunctional."
