Notability
[edit]The article is missing an assertion of notability:
- "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" - General notability guideline
So we need to look for sources that covered the book (as the article is about the book, of course). Any press coverage of the events that the book covers wouldn't be coverage of the book itself, and notability cannot be inherited.
Articles on books could be measured against Wikipedia:Notability (books), but to be honest that looks like a tougher standard to meet here. It may be that The Wee Fellas simply hasn't enough independant coverage to demonstrate notability, but it's worth looking - try a google search.
The Scottish Herald article is a good source - please use more of it and reference text from it. That's one piece of significant coverage - the GNG requires multiple sources, so we need to find some more.
Many articles on books, films, etc. have a Reception section where you report critics' views on the book - it's a good place to plonk sources that prove the book had coverage in the press and thereby establish notability. --RexxS (talk) 22:39, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
- http://www.scot-buzz.co.uk/business-economy/bantams-bayonets-and-disgraced-bankers - Ken Houston's description of why and how he wrote the book; no use for notability, but would expand and source the article. --RexxS (talk) 22:45, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
