Weird Facts?

[edit]

"It is also home to the second largest Venice in the world, the first being the city of Venice, Italy and the third being The Venetian in Las Vegas, Nevada." This is needed? Or even logically true? "Home to the largest replica of Venice" seems more apt. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.157.4.174 (talk) 21:00, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That is true the Venetian Macau is falling down isn't it obvious?

[edit]

1st the SAR Government of Macau stop importing important foreign labor force that is needed in it's efficient operation "the Macau gov't does not allow foreign work force on it's soil so expext the worse" services will not be that impressive. The controversy section is a fact & the Macau SAR gov't should be blamed for Macau's downfall because of it's nationalistic inaccuracies.--121.54.68.114 (talk) 12:27, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article lacks objectivity and reads like a marketing document

[edit]

The statement "it is also home to the second largest Venice in the world, the first being the city of Venice, Italy and the third being The Venetian in Las Vegas, Nevada" is a preposterous and ludicrous statement to make. Venice is not an entity a casino resort can claim to possess.

Likewise the statement "The Venetian also boasts the largest number of Filipino gondoleers in the world" is equally absurd (and it is spelt gondolier). Gondolas and gondoliers are native to Venice and come under the auspices of the Istituzione per la conservazione della gondola e la tutela del gondoliere; so these are not proper gondolas and gondoliers. Gondolas are a specific type of watercraft native to Venice, and thus Gondoliers by definition are Venetian, not Filipino.
