Fair use rationale for Image:Trumpet of the swan.jpg

[edit]

Image:Trumpet of the swan.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The following request appears on that page:

Comments on the suitability of theis page for "Pending changes" would be appreciated.

Please update the Queue page as appropriate.

Note that I am not involved in this project any much more than any other editor, just posting these notes since it is quite a big change, potentially

Lack of Promotion and Home Media Release

[edit]

Was there any television and theater promotion for this movie when it came out into theaters back in 2001? I know there were trailers for it video tapes such as Stuart Little and Thomas and the Magic Railroad, both of those movies were released onto video months (about a year with Stuart Little) before Trumpet of the Swan came out in theaters. However, VHS trailers would obviously not be enough promotion for a film to be advertised. With that, there were three major reasons this movie bombed financially. 1: It's limited release, 2:Shrek's premier the following week driving away most of this films potential audience, and #3: The lack of promotion.

Also, when did the Trumpet of the Swan get released onto home media (VHS and DVD)? I know it would of had to be sometime later in 2001. --JCC the Alternate Historian (talk) 20:20, 1 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
