The article suggests this is an installment that "differs in style" from the others - this is true, but there may be an unacknowledged reason for this. If you read the copyright page, it's noted "Some of the pieces in this book have previously appeared in" a long list of publications. The implication would be that Townsend was asked for follow-up stories (which slid just a little towards granting him cartoon-style eternal youth, shifting his birth from '67 to '68) and eventually rounded them up into books (this and From Minor to Major), which could be mentioned in the article rather than just treating it as a book with a different type of material.
