Merger proposal

[edit]

I propose to merge The Trial Of Christine Keeler into The Trial of Christine Keeler. Both articles are on the same subject and I feel that the latter article has more up-to-date info regarding the programme and the latest BBC press release reveals the show is titled 'of Christine Keeler' and not 'Of Christine Keeler'. The article has to be merged with the one that existed earlier, not other way around. As an article creator, you have to make clear, that an article isnt already existing. Former sources wrote the "of" with capital letter, thats why the mistake occured. I moved the newer recent article to draft section form where you are free to move sourced information into the article that existed over a year before the creation of the second one.--Robberey1705 (talk) 16:04, 1 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Well if we are to correct the mistake, how about merging my information from my article to this one, but to correct the mistake we un-capitalise the "Of".Saxonvsjones (talk) 16:36, 1 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This doesn't work either as this violates the articles' history. You have to put your text (as I already wrote on your discussion page) into the article with the capital " o". An administrator will move the whole article to the adress with the lower case "o" as soon as possible.--Robberey1705 (talk)

Note: Both Draft:The Trial Of Christine Keeler and Draft:The Trial of Christine Keeler have been redirected to this article. Paine Ellsworth, ed.  put'r there  15:55, 2 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 2 January 2019

Moved. This may be considered a "technical" request, since recent sources do use the lowercase "o" in "of", and since the original article creator agrees to the change per discussion in the previous section. Kudos to editors for your input, and Happy Publishing! (nac by page mover) Paine Ellsworth, ed.  put'r there  14:17, 2 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

– I creates the original page of "The Trial of Christine Keeler" as it was missing. What I had not realised was that individuals had created the page with the o in of being capital O. I therefore approached [User:Robberey1705] who moved my article into draftspace and claimed that I had to move the content of my article onto this page which I did. However, I strongly believe that the content of this page shall be moved to my old article space as recent BBC press releases have said that the said subject is under the name that was used in my article rather than this one https://deadline.com/2018/12/james-norton-ben-miles-ellie-bamber-to-star-in-bbc-one-drama-the-trial-of-christine-keeler-1202514316/ https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/latestnews/2018/christine-keeler-casting https://www.radiotimes.com/news/tv/2018-12-05/trial-of-christine-keeler-cast-profumo-affair-james-norton-emilia-fox/.
