Release date
The Internet Movie Database does not qualify as a source for the film's release date. IMDb always attaches a release year to all future films on the site, despite no announcement to support it. The most recent Variety citation do not make any mention of the release date, so unless there is a follow-up citation, the release date has yet to be announced. —Erik (talk • contrib • review) - 16:23, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
Producer link
Shouldn't the the link to the film's producer lead more appropriately to the Nick_Wechsler (disambiguation) page. Right now it leads to the entry for the actor Nick Wechsler instead of the (as of yet nonexistent) one for the producer of the same name. Carfesch 06:39, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- I've de-linked the producer credits for now. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 02:17, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Filming location
I was just checking out the city of toronto's Currently being filmed list. it included the time traveler's wife. Now, this list can be found here: but it is updated constantly, so here's what it says right now:
Time Traveller’s Wife, The Feature Sept 4 – Nov 8/07
PRODUCTION COMPANY Joshmax Production Services Ltd./New Line Cinema
EXEC. PRODUCERS PRODUCERS Nick Wechsler Dede Gardner Justis Greene (Exec)
DIRECTOR Robert Schwentke
PRODUCTION MANAGER Heather Meehan
LOCATION MANAGER / ASSISTANT LM Don Cornelius A.J. Hordal

note: i believe the date shown is the length of time their filming permit for Toronto lasts, so they may actually be filming there for less or more time, if something changes.

Departures from the novel
I saw the film shortly after reading the novel, and the differences between the two that have been pointed out in previous versions of this article are minor and non-notable. Any adaptation of a novel will have certain characters and plotlines added or removed, often having no significant impact on the story, as in this case. Any notable departure would presumably be mentioned in an article or review from a reliable and verifiable source, and adding this kind of trivia without such a source is called original research.— TAnthonyTalk 05:58, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Deviations from original storyline in book
Most articles on film adaptations have a section detailing major differences between the book and the film. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.65.20.120 (talk) 09:11, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
- And most of that is unsourced trivia. Any notable differences would be noted in a review of the film, so if you can find one than by all means incorporate that info into this article.— TAnthonyTalk 17:42, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
- Er how can that be unsourced??? When the evidence for the differences is either on the big screen or on the pages of the book? Good lord he loses both feet in the book but he stays intact in the film!! I mean how is that unsourced material when it is known?? But typically, it is only trivia when someone cries WP:IDL. But hey, any other times it's valid. Pah! This highlights the greatest failing of the Wikipedia model: a dog is not a dog until a third party says it is a dog. Personally stating it is a dog is unreferenced original research. Knowing something is not good enough for Wikipedia. Therefore differences between this film and its book, well you might know them, I might know them, in fact everyone who has seen or read both will know them. But for Wikipedians that needs someone else to say it.! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.161.148.120 (talk) 12:17, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
Request additions to soundtrack listing
After copyedit, I added cover art for the soundtrack infobox. It would be great to have someone fill in the soundtrack listing w/ more data. JourneySarah (talk) 10:43, 22 February 2016 (UTC)

Filming locations
Many shots in the movie feature Chicago backgrounds and actors walking the recognizable streets of Chicago downtown. Current version of the page lists only Canada locations (links not working anymore, though). The movie must have been shot in Chicago, at least partially. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andru nl (talk • contribs) 15:17, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
