Fair use rationale for Image:The Suite Life of Zack and Cody s01e23.png

[edit]

Image:The Suite Life of Zack and Cody s01e23.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Maddie your hot

Lance, Patrick, Barbara, Norman etc.

Should very common recurring characters like these be moved into the main characters section? People have already moved some VERY common ones (Esteban and Nia), and I moved another VERY common one (Arwin), then some one else moved Muriel, then I moved Bob. What's up?

Character Controversy

[edit]

Should This page be delete and each character given there own main article. --Jay M. Baxter-Payne (talk) 16:13, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • That's it - discussion! You may wish to provide a more ample rationale for this suggestion, citing, where [possible, the relevant style guidelines and policies that would support this suggestion. Additionally, you may wish to cross-post this to the relevant main page. Once you have a more full explanation of your rationale, we can discuss your proposed changes. It is spelled "Controversy" by the way, and that is not a useful nor instructive heading for what you are trying to achieve here. I suggest you rename this. Yes each character should have their own page --LilMissNicole+++.;+= (talk) 00:28, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think so. Including Esteban, he appeared in the 1st episode, while Arwin, which you may also consider giving a page, didn't appear until the 6th episode.

But he is not a main character --Jay M. Baxter-Payne (talk) 10:04, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am Going to do the switch because they are main characters on another (The Suite Life on Deck) and what would be the point of createing a main character page for the other show, the same info would be on both pages --Jay M. Baxter-Payne (talk) 10:09, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I am going to assume a good faith edit here. I look forward to seeing how you rework all these articles (currently in no standalone state per WP:NOT#PLOT and WP:GNG) to remove excess plot detail and add in external, real-world information about them. Let's say a week to see a good faith undertaking to demonstrate an effort to get them into shape? Please remember to provide non-trivial, 3rd party, reliable sources per WP:RS. If you cannot show this real-world significance, then we will find a new title for the redirect target that reflects the fact the characters have been crossed over and we'll protect the redirects to prevent them from being undone. Agreed? Eusebeus (talk) 14:40, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Character Articles

[edit]

Please read WP:NOT#PLOT, which is official Wikipedia policy. Editors interested in writing individual articles will need to demonstrate demonstrate real-world significance backed up with references to third party sources for individual characters. Character articles will need to have an out-of-universe focus, although a concise biography of the character is fine. The kind of information that can be used to demonstrate independent notability for fictional characters is varied, but includes things like real-world trends than can be associated to the character, recognition by real-world groups of the character's significance to social discourse, the importance of the character to popular phenomena (such as an iconic catch phrase or other cultural iconography). It would be useful if editors could provide us here with the real-world material and the independent sources they wish to include in any of the desired standalone articles. Articles that are vehicles for plot summary or in-universe evaluation of a fictional character are not acceptable Wikipedia content. Again, I urge editors to read WP:NOT#PLOT as well as WP:GNG. Finally, consensus always refers to the positions taken by the community globally (I urge editors to read WP:CON) and these content guidelines have been long-established by community consensus. I look forward to seeing the material adduced to establish character notability. Eusebeus (talk) 15:35, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
