Noel's version is another selecter
[edit]I'm not really sure its accurate to claim Noel's version is another selecter. He might claim it, but pretty much everybody is ignoring him. Everybody knows Selecter is Patricia and band. I don't really know what wikipedia's policy on this is, but its a bit against the grain to treat the noel version as some sort of co-equal selecter. 121.45.250.254 (talk) 23:43, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
-- It seems resolved now. The court ruled in paulines favor. Updated to reflect this.121.45.244.161 (talk) 05:44, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
-- Retrospectively my comment might have been a little harsh. Although the title belongs to Pauline Black, it did in fact originate as Neols title for his solo act. I guess they both have a stake in it 121.45.251.215 (talk) 08:10, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
-- -- Considering that Noel composed all the tracks on The Selecters first 2 albums/singles (at the least), i'd say he had a little bit of a stake in them.
According to the Guinness Book of Singles 'Gangsters vs. The Selecter' didn't make it into the UK charts. There's two references to it reaching No.6 in this article. Solatha (talk) 17:38, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
