I am going to rewrite this page

[edit]

This Wikipedia article seems to suffer from general formatting errors and weak writing.

For example, the ‘plot summary’ section is not order (the wiki writer talks about the 3 women stealing a plane BEFORE the murder of Amy), neither does the story ever mention the ‘Garden of Eden’. Also, when describing how the Son’s of Adam are not worried about human reproduction without women, the Wikipedia writer says “(they were unclear about what exactly would happen)”. I feel like this misrepresents the scene, as the Son’s of Adam are unclear intentionally as it is part of their theology.

This Wikipedia also has an ‘explanation of key concepts’ section which includes character names for some reason? This section also includes an explanation of the lordosis reflex that includes the line: “In the story, it is exaggerated in human females to the point of them passively accepting death by male aggression.” Which is just false and is explicitly the opposite in the story. This section should be rewritten to include: The Screwfly Solution(s), Lordosis reflex, the link between male aggression and male sexual response, and the intertropical convergence zone.

I intend to rewrite a large portion of this Wikipedia article soon. Rehema.karanja (talk) 23:34, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Good call on the need to re-write this, I'll wait for your edits. A couple of things missing from this article:
- Barney is unaffected by the initial urge to kill women, I *think* because he is implied to be homosexual? I don't remember that part very well.
- It is implied that by the end, adult men start killing boys.
