Notability?

[edit]

Surely the notability of such an article depends on the musician in question? Should the 'editor' have checked the Grown At Home page, maybe they would be happier with this article.

Does the inclusion of the information of the upcoming European tour with the Voodoo Glow Skulls qualify as "Has gone on an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one large or medium-sized country, reported in reliable sources."?

I try will gather as much info as I can regarding previous national tours, of which there have been quite a few.

Happy New Year,

MartyHol

Yes, I checked Grown At Home before I added the notability tag to this article and I edited Grown At Home to try to bring it closer to Wikipedia standards because I didn't want to see someone else nominate it for deletion. The concert tour might possibly establish notabitilty for the band but not for this EP. (Personal note: it's generally best to follow Wikipedia policy and assume your fellow editors are editing in "good faith" so that you don't put off someone who's trying to be helpful.) If you can reference this EP being broadcast on national radio, a citation which the band article should probably also have, then that might edge this article towards more easily argued notability. Two refs for the price of one. ;-) Random Passer-by 18:57, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Can I remove that notability tag yet? It's making my lovely article look messy. ;-) MartyHol 13:48, 4 January 2007 (GMT)
No, you can't, because I've already removed it. ;-P Random Passer-by 11:30, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:The Sandwich EP.jpg

[edit]

Image:The Sandwich EP.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
