Error in the description of the Masoretic Text

Since the Masoretic Text isn't a translation, but rather a MSS tradition of the original Hebrew text, why is it called a translation at the end of the section "Height of Goliath." It says "However, because the Masoretic Text was written in the original Hebrew language and was considered to be an older version of the text, scholars used its translation for years, attributing to Goliath an unusual height." 208.104.195.98 (talk) 18:38, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
