Removing OR (and incorrect OR at that)

[edit]

[quote]However, the freewheeling Luna of this novel seems very different than the overregulated domain mentioned by Mannie at the end of "Moon" and seen during "Cat", leading to doubts that the "Hazel Stone" of this novel is the same who helped free Luna and met Lazarus Long.[/quote]

A few comments:

  • This is original research, unless the author wishes to note where this is from?
  • There are several explicit references to Moon in Cat, including Hazel and the lead character staying in the same room of the Raffles where the revolution in Moon and Hazel referencing Mike the computer.
  • This novel includes the concept of pantheistic solipsism, introduced in The Number of the Beast (novel), and features Heinlein characters from multiple stories, including Hazel, Jubal Harshaw, and Lazarus Long. The notion that a continuity error (if such it is) means that it's not the same character is laughable, especially since Hazel joined the "World As Myth" in Number.

Thus, I'm deleting it. CatherS 02:12, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Rs52.jpg

[edit]

Image:Rs52.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Merge proposal

[edit]

I propose merging Flat cat into this article because they are both quite short and flat cats don't have enough notability on their own to justify a second article. 2002:620D:3AF:0:B440:4CB3:DB1F:3D8B (talk) 17:01, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support merge The content in the current Flat cat article can be added as a section to this article without making this article overly long. I agree with the lack of notability for a stand-alone article on the flat cats.
