Extra Money for Pixelation?

[edit]

can anyone verify this statement? It seems doubtful. "The housemates were nude so much that MTV had to add to the budget to handle the additional pixilation." DLCinMaine 05:49, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That sounds logical to me. Whether or not it's TRUE is another matter, but that kind of editing isn't free. VelvetKevorkian 06:23, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I seem to remember some producer types saying this on a Real World documentary shown on VH1. --Purpleslog 06:54, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

writing

[edit]

The writing seems awkward or non-neutral...

e.g. "Amaya Brecher (September 17, 1977 in Oakland, California) is a voluptuous Jewish-American blonde female who attends UCLA."

and it's kinda weird that all the minorities are pointed out, but I guess that's part of the nature of of the show (different people).

Well, she IS Jewish. It's just some biographical information that anyone looking up this artcle would be after. VelvetKevorkian 06:22, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"...Amaya is a voluptuous female woman who..." ...what the heck is a female woman? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.158.234.13 (talk) 00:53, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Um, why didn't you just edit that out rather than taking up space on the Talk Page? Nightscream 01:37, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why is this entire page written to make Amaya as a psycho villianess? She and Ruthie were the only genuine cast members. The others were there just to be seen. Watch it again, or we'll just keep editing the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.172.108.123 (talk) 12:53, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Key West?

[edit]

"This was the second of five seasons to be filmed outside of the continental United States (The Real World: London in 1995, The Real World: Paris in 2003, The Real World: Sydney in 2007, and The Real World: Cancun in 2009), the only season not named after a city, and the first season set in the United States to be filmed outside of the mainland United States."

Certainly Key West isn't really part of the mainland United States either. I also don't understand the comparisons to the international seasons, as it makes it seem as if Hawaii is less a part of the United States or something. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.68.111.77 (talk) 16:16, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
