I deleted following sentence from the plot summary 'Zucker apparently takes his revenge by burning down the three partners' uninsured factory.' In the book it is not clear if Zuker had any involvement in the factory fire. He could do it, but Borowiecki suspects Moritz Welt and he also had other enemies for example Grosglik.
