Primary Topic
[edit]It feels like the first book in the series is likely the primary topic and should thus be located at this page, while this dab moves to The Perfectionsis (disambiguation). Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 03:41, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
- @Barkeep49: Well first of all there is no specific article for the book so I've redirected to the Pretty Little Liars (franchise)#The Perfectionists page for the time being (some info is better than none). Secondly I'd say the TV show is pretty popular but WP:RECENTISM could be argued here so at this specific point in time I'd suggest WP:NOPRIMARY? TheDoctorWho (talk) 03:55, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
- Or more specifically if it helps I hadn't even heard of the books until well after the TV series was announced. I think the main problem here is that book-wise the books have absolutely nothing to do with Pretty Little Liars while the TV show was redeveloped multiple times eventually turning into a spin-off. - TheDoctorWho Yeah if the TV series had ended up with this name it would be easy. But as it seems like the Pretty Little LIars bit is an important element of the name, and the book as far as I can tell is notable. Perhaps this discussion can wait until the day that the book(s) get their own article(s). Best, Barkeep49 (talk) Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 04:02, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
- @Barkeep49: Agreed, the original two developments of the show didn't include the PLL bit ([1], [2]) that part didn't come around until the third attempt ([3]). I only became interested in The Perfectionists because I am a PLL fan, if it wasn't for that I probably wouldn't be here right now. The second reason I set this up the way I did is because the series has been referred to as both "Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists" and "The Perfectionists" by both primary and secondary sources. - TheDoctorWho It all makes sense. I edit primiarily in children's and young adult literature so I have an interest at that level. But I have no interest in actually writing the article myself. For now this makes sense. We can see how the show is referred to after it starts airing and could make a better decision about PTOPIC at that point. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 04:13, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
