I just made some edits to spelling and phrasing without having first signed in; the corrections are mine. JNW 01:56, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Article Expansion
[edit]I hope to do some work on this article. I have a few books on Courbet and a chapter on this painting that I can reference. These are the sections and content I suggest adding: (please suggest any changes or additions to list)
- Description/Explanation (Is there a better word?)
- Go through figures and what they represent (Main bulk of addition)
- Changes during the Paris Commune (1971) - Removal of masonic symbolism
- Reception
- (Public Reaction)
- Quillenbois' Caricature
- A video artist recently displayed an reactionary installation next to this painting for a while. I cant remember his name. He (usually) records the eyes and mouth separately and digitally stitches the videos together and projects it onto an object. If you know his name, please add it to the talk.
