Fair use rationale for Image:10cc-The Original Soundtrack (album cover).jpg
[edit]Image:10cc-The Original Soundtrack (album cover).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talk • contribs • Bot) 01:02, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- Under [[1]] an album cover image used to illustrate an article on the album is acceptable use. I'm puzzled at why this has been deemed to be unacceptable.Grimhim 03:06, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- the image has no rationale on the image page. Betacommand (talk • contribs • Bot) 03:26, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- You've got me thoroughly confused. Are we looking at the same page? The image page has a licensing tag allowing it to be used as an illustration for an article on the album cover in question. The same tag seems to be widely used on imagea page for album covers. I can't see how this could be any clearer. Deleting this album cover image when its use is acceptable to Wikipedia under the policy stated above seems incomprehensible.Grimhim 04:43, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Merger proposal

No reason for the song "Une Nuit A Paris" to have its own article, especially as it was never a single and has no references. It would make sense to merge the text from that article into this one for the album. The editor who created it in June 2008 seems to have disappeared from Wikipedia a month later, since when all edits appear to be minor ones to correct spelling or formatting. - Yes, merging makes sense for the reasons you list. Binksternet (talk) 05:00, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
